These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of Artizans.uk and related services (the "Platform"). The Platform is operated by The Doodle Den Ltd ("Artizans", "we", "us", "our"). By using the Platform, creating an account, following an artisan, or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
2.1 Artizans is a marketplace. When you purchase a Product, you enter into a Contract with the Artisan, not with The Doodle Den Ltd, unless explicitly stated otherwise for a specific Product.
2.2 What we do. The Doodle Den Ltd provides the Platform, checkout/payment processing, order notifications, and support tools to help facilitate transactions between Customers and Artisans.
2.3 What the Artisan does. Each Artisan is responsible for:
3.1 You must be at least 18 years old to place Orders.
3.2 You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details and for all activity on your account.
3.3 You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
4.1 You agree not to misuse the Platform, including attempting to gain unauthorised access, interfering with operations, introducing malware, scraping content, or using the Platform unlawfully.
4.2 We may suspend or terminate accounts for breaches of these Terms or for suspected fraud/security issues.
5.1 Pre-orders and availability. Many Products are offered as pre-orders during an Order Window and may be limited in quantity. Products may sell out.
5.2 Prices. Prices are shown on the Platform and may include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Any delivery fees will be shown at checkout.
5.3 Payment and payment handling. Payment is taken at checkout using our payment providers. You agree that The Doodle Den Ltd may collect payment on behalf of the Artisan and pass payment to the Artisan, minus any Platform fees and payment processing costs (if applicable). Customers do not need to pay cash on collection unless clearly stated for a specific drop (normally, payment is online only).
5.4 Order confirmation. After checkout you will receive an order confirmation. The Contract is formed when the Artisan accepts the Order for fulfilment (which may be automated by the Platform) and/or when the Order Window closes (depending on drop settings). If an Order cannot be fulfilled, you will be notified and refunded in accordance with section 8.
5.5 Promotions and credits. Any voucher codes, credits, or promotional offers are subject to their stated conditions and may be withdrawn or changed at any time.
6.1 Collection. If you select a Drop Point, you must collect your Order during the stated collection window and follow any instructions (e.g., showing an order confirmation).
6.2 Missed or late collection. Many Products are perishable and made to order. If you miss your collection window, the Artisan may be unable to hold or re-deliver your Order. Refunds for missed collection are governed by section 8.3.
6.3 Local delivery. Some Artisans offer local delivery. Delivery areas, fees, and delivery windows are shown at checkout. You are responsible for providing a correct address and any access instructions.
6.4 Failed delivery. If delivery fails due to incorrect details, inability to access the property, or inability to hand over perishable goods safely, your refund entitlement may be limited (see section 8.3).
6.5 Risk after handover. Responsibility for Products transfers to you once collected or delivered (including safe storage and handling).
7.1 Accuracy. Artisans aim to provide accurate Product information, including ingredients and allergens where relevant. However, Product information may change.
7.2 Allergens. If you have allergies or intolerances, you must read the Product listing carefully and contact the Artisan before ordering if you need clarification. Products may be prepared in environments that handle allergens.
7.3 Dietary and suitability. Any dietary suitability statements are provided by the Artisan. You are responsible for checking suitability for your needs.
8.1 Made-to-order/perishable nature. Many Products are made-to-order and/or perishable. This affects cancellation rights.
8.2 Customer cancellations (change of mind).
8.3 Missed collection / failed delivery due to Customer circumstances. If you miss collection or delivery fails due to incorrect details or unavailability to receive the Order, refunds are generally not provided unless the Artisan chooses otherwise.
8.4 Problems with an Order. If your Order is incorrect, missing, damaged, unsafe, or not as described, contact hello@artizans.uk within 24 hours of collection/delivery with photos where relevant. We will coordinate with the Artisan to resolve the issue. Remedies may include replacement, partial refund, or full refund depending on the circumstances and applicable law.
8.5 Refund timing. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. Processing times depend on the payment provider/bank.
8.6 Your statutory rights. Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer rights you have under applicable law.
9.1 We may send service messages relating to your Orders, including:
9.2 If you follow an Artisan, you may receive notifications about upcoming drops and order windows. You can manage notification preferences in Account Settings and unsubscribe from marketing messages at any time.
10.1 You may be able to post reviews or other content. Content must be accurate, lawful, and not abusive, misleading, or infringing.
10.2 By posting content, you grant The Doodle Den Ltd a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display and reproduce it for Platform and marketing purposes.
The Platform, including branding, logos, and software, is owned by or licensed to The Doodle Den Ltd. You may not copy, reverse engineer, or use our IP except as permitted by law or with written permission.
12.1 Platform availability. We provide the Platform on an "as is" and "as available" basis and do not guarantee uninterrupted operation.
12.2 Products sold by Artisans. To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Doodle Den Ltd is not responsible for the Products sold by Artisans, including Product quality, safety, or compliance. Your Contract for the Product is with the Artisan, though we will assist with support and dispute resolution.
12.3 Non-excludable liability. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be excluded by law.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on Artizans.uk with a new "Last updated" date. If changes are material, we may also notify you by email or via the Platform.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of that jurisdiction will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where consumer law provides otherwise.
